From a young age, I would sit next to my father and watch the news, sparking an insatiable curiosity and many questions about the world around me. This early exposure ignited a deep passion for politics, human rights and development, so I was inspired to be more involved in politics and pursue a master’s degree in Public Policy. Growing up in Jordan, amidst the backdrop of regional tensions, further fueled my curiosity about the nature of conflict and global dynamics. Now living in Europe, I have observed how global perceptions of the Middle East are heavily shaped by media that often focus on extremist elements. The resulting perspective propagates a misunderstanding in Europe, failing to reflect the reality of the Middle East. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the world and instilled in me a strong desire to contribute positively to my society and the wider community.
