Nikola Ikonomov
I grew up in Bulgaria and have since followed an international academic path, with studies in Spain, Switzerland, and currently Portugal. This exposure has shaped my curiosity for different cultures and strengthened my passion for connecting with people across borders. I enjoy learning and speaking multiple languages, which helps me navigate and engage in diverse environments. My interest in finance began during my Bachelor’s studies in Spain and deepened through internships in banking across Europe. These experiences, ranging from project finance to corporate and retail banking, gave me broad exposure to the sector and a clear motivation to pursue it further. I am now completing a Master’s in Finance with a focus on asset and risk management, enriched by the QTEM program, where I delve into the quantitative aspects of financial decision-making. What drives me is the opportunity to apply finance in ways that are practical, impactful, and forward-looking. I’m excited to contribute to teams that combine analytical rigor with real-world relevance.
